The value to the manufacturer of a ZoltanCAP® can be calculated for any given product as follows:
$= Value of ZoltanCAP® to Drug Manufacturer
A$= Annual Dollar Sales of Product
e= Effectiveness of ZoltanCAP® expressed as a decimal
100/80-1=0.25 the gain possible for the average drug if all patients were compliant
then $=A$ * 0.25 * e
Example: Chronic medication with annual sales of $100,000,000, with effectiveness of ZoltanCAP® of 0.50.
$= 100,000,000 * 0.25 * 0.50
$= 12,500,000 This is the annual dollar value to the product manager of a 50% decrease in non-compliance.
Had we assumed the ZoltanCAP® eliminated all missed dosages its value annually would be $25,000,000.
